-PSK has more than 250 members from large companies to small ones, who extensively use PSK Standards in various projects and assignments. As a student the standards benefit you at all stages of your studies. Getting to know them will prepare you for working life, make your study time and induction to work tasks much easier and having knowledge about them might even be a decisive factor in landing to a job position.
-PSK standards are practical and methodological solutions for various technical topics. They provide broad definitions of key concepts, clear guidelines, procedures, tools and solutions.
-You can, for instance, find solutions to different study assignments or projects directly from standards, for example if you need information on valve selection, piping design, pipe supporting details, pipe classes, PI diagram presentation, condition monitoring vibration measurement, or piping insulation.
– Standards are based on international standards (SFS-EN, EN, IEC, ISO) such as product, dimensional or material standards. PSK standards have been tested and proven to work in the industry.
-Standards are prepared in standardization workgroups.
The PSK Standardization Scholarship Fund offers students the opportunity to apply for funding for theses of different sizes. The work may be a thesis, assignment, research work, project work or other thesis prepared individually or in a group in connection with studies. Theses is supposed to support PSK Standardization through standards, standardization work, development of the association’s activities or other ways that benefit PSK members. The application shall present the topic, aim, supervisors and advisors of the thesis. The scholarship applied for may be awarded in whole or in part according to the eventual benefits for PSK. The scholarships to be awarded are decided by the PSK Board.
